All About Us

Hello, and welcome to Carol's Custom Crochet! My love for crochet began when I was a teenager. I always admired the beautiful creations my grandmother made, including colorful blankets, slippers, pillow covers, and hot pads. Watching her create such wonderful handmade items inspired me to learn the craft myself.

When I was 17, my mom said, "Let's learn how to crochet!" I thought it was a wonderful idea, so we enrolled in a six-week community education class at our local high school. There we learned all the basic stitches and techniques. Soon afterward, I completed my very first blanket. It turned out beautifully, and I still have it today. From that moment on, I was hooked, and I've been crocheting ever since.

Today, I'm 60 years old and a grandmother myself. Every item you see in my shop is personally crocheted by me with the same care, attention to detail, and love for the craft that began all those years ago.

My wonderfully supportive husband, Glenn, is the webmaster and creator of this website. Together we live on a small farm in rural Central Texas with a few cows, a flock of chickens, two cats, Blue, our watchdog, and our precious little dog, Peaches.

We're starting with a carefully selected collection of handmade crochet items, and we look forward to expanding our offerings over time. As we grow, you'll find even more styles, colors, and customization options to help you create the perfect piece.
